Scope and Contents
The administrative records of Kappa Gamma Chi consist of minute books, canons, ceremonial procedures and scripts as well as annual meeting minutes, officer rolls, pledge books, account books and one fraternity history. The minutes include summaries of their parliamentary proceedings, membership decisions, debates, financial reports, and event planning. The canonical texts for the Kappa Gamma Chi fraternity consist of detailed descriptions of meeting procedures, legislation and subsequent ammendments, the duties of the various officers of the fraternity and scripts of the oaths members were asked to recite upon initiation. Of note in this series is a small number of watercolor illustrations depicting the ceremonial garb of the fraternity’s officers. Organized by genre in chronological order.
