This series consists of ephemera published by the ASO and associated organizations on the occasion of individual concerts and concert series. The programs of early ASO concerts are recorded in issues of the Carnegie Hall magazine; issues for the ASO’s third and fourth concert seasons are bound together. This series also contains copies of Stagebill for ASO performances held in New York City. Stagebill was a monthly U.S. magazine whose issues were primarily published on the occasion of, and served as programs for, specific concert, dance and opera performances. The ASO’s own publication, Dialogues and Extensions, is also contained in this series. Dialogues and Extensions provided concertgoers with historical and critical context of the compositions and composers being performed by the ASO. The magazine functioned as an educational supplement to the traditional concert programs that were issued simultaneously for specific performances.
