1989-90 Season Marketing Plan, 1988
Scope and Contents
The early public relations strategy of the ASO is documented in this series and consists of planning materials, circulars, drafts of press releases, published announcements and clippings of news coverage related to the opening concert series from American and international publications including most of New York’s daily newspapers. Most 1960s clippings relate to Stokowski’s press conference announcing the formation of the orchestra; later years cover advertisements and the appointment of Catherine Comet as music director.
