Scope and Contents
This series primarily consists of transcripts of the lectures Blücher delivered while serving as a professor at the New School and later, Bard College. The transcripts occasionally bear annotations. Of note in this series is a draft of Blücher's preliminary remarks to be delivered at the beginning of his 'Common Course.' This draft bears edits and annotations by Blücher himself.
Furthermore, this series contains reproductions of correspondence between Blücher and various administration officials at Bard College as well as reproductions of correspondence between various publishers and Hannah Arendt while she made attempts to have collections of Blücher's various lectures published.
This series also contains press clippings on the subject of the Common Course; exhibitions catalogs by artists acquainted with Blücher and Arendt; and bound manuscripts of selected lectures proposed for publication.
